As my first industry role, I joined First Choice Distributors as a Product Developer and was later invited to return as Head of Product Development / General Manager. Working across key accounts including Lowes, Farmers, and Myer, I led end-to-end product development while managing a team of seven, consistently delivering commercially successful ranges.

My role encompassed international sourcing and buying across the USA, Europe, and China, overseeing production from concept through to delivery. I developed textile prints, trims, and detailed garment specifications, while managing costing, supplier relationships, and critical path timelines. Sales analysis was integral to the process, informing future range development and ensuring alignment with market demand.

In 2021, I joined Savic Motorcycles, a Melbourne-based startup focused on high-performance electric motorcycles and locally assembled innovation. Collaborating with a globally distributed team of specialists, I worked across both gear and apparel, expanding my practice into technical design and performance-driven product development.

This role marked a significant evolution in my material knowledge and approach. I engaged directly with emerging textile technologies and sustainable innovations, working with suppliers such as Ventile and Evrnu, alongside leading experts in textile science and motorcycle safety. Through this, we advanced the integration of recycled materials into both casual and protective riding gear—developing considered, future-facing solutions for motorcyclists, scooter riders, and e-mobility users.
