Throughout my career, womenswear has provided an opportunity to explore the relationship between clothing, identity, and confidence.
Designing across diverse brands, markets, and customer groups reinforced that there is no such thing as a single female customer. Women arrive with different bodies, lifestyles, aspirations, and relationships with clothing. Creating products that genuinely resonate requires empathy as much as technical expertise, balancing aesthetics with fit, function, commercial realities, and the lived experience of the people who wear them.
My experience extended beyond product development into bridal consulting, where I worked closely with women during one of the most significant moments of their lives. Helping clients navigate body image, fit, personal style, and emotion deepened my appreciation for the psychological role clothing plays. Garments are rarely just garments; they influence confidence, self-perception, and the stories people tell about themselves.
Whether developing commercial collections, collaborating with independent designers, or working one-on-one with clients, these experiences reinforced a belief that successful fashion begins with understanding people. The best products are not simply well designed - they allow the wearer to feel more like themselves.
